Unlike many others I haven’t even hit the mall this year for holiday shopping. In fact, I’ve done no shopping yet what so ever. I love the holidays. The decorations, the music, and most of all the spirit of giving. I just haven’t found my shopping mood yet. However, I have added a few decorations around my place that I thought I would share.
First if my Grandmother’s ceramic tree. She lived in a trailer and didn’t have a lot of space for a big tree so this little tree used to sit on a cabinet in her family room. I remember as a little kid being eye level with it and staring at all the little lights. I would even sneak a little touches at them when no one was looking. I’m not sure but I think my uncle might have made this tree for her. It’s now with me on the holidays and I can’t wait to put it out every year. As you can see, I also have some stockings up along my stairwell.
Next is my A frame shelf that I decided to wrap lights around. This puts it in a very nice pine tree shape to give it a xmas tree look of sorts.
Lastly is my Charlie Brown christmas tree. As many of you may or may not know, this movie is my favorite holiday story and I watch it every year, sometimes multiple times. I made my very own Charlie Brown tree with the Japanese Maple that I brought inside for the winter. This puts a nice smile on my face every time I look at it.
Well, it’s a warm 20 degrees outside and I’m going to take my dogs for a hike.
